Our project in Vienna seamlessly fits into the city's development plans and matches the dynamic changes in the neighborhood. Situated along the "Favoriten-Hauptbahnhof-Arsenal" axis, it's positioned in a vibrant part of the city that celebrates cultural diversity and historical significance. Our building, the ZMKK, blends smoothly into this environment, becoming a key educational hub in the emerging "Village im Dritten" district. Its proximity to the main train station and tram line 18 ensures easy access, establishing it as a focal point for education and culture.
Architecturally, we celebrate the historic balloon hall while also creating a functional connection to the modern ZMKK extension. The terraced interior design pays homage to the building's industrial past, offering spacious areas for students and researchers. The transparent facade of the new building seamlessly merges with the balloon hall, providing optimal lighting for artistic workshops and offices.
We're committed to sustainability both economically and ecologically. Preserving existing trees and installing photovoltaic panels on the roof showcase our dedication to environmental protection. By employing simple construction methods and movable panels for shade regulation, we minimize construction time and costs while ensuring a comfortable indoor environment.
Our project embodies a blend of history, innovation, and sustainability, contributing positively to the district and the city's development.
